After its cinema run, the Ramayana film will come to JioHotstar in India as a pay-per-view title. The date and price are not yet announced.
JioHotstar and Prime Focus Studios have announced a partnership to bring the Ramayana film to viewers in India as a pay-per-view title after its exclusive cinema window ends. PTI, The Hollywood Reporter India and Outlook reported the announcement on 21 and 22 October 2026.
Viewers will rent the film on demand. Outlook calls this a first for JioHotstar. The streaming date and the price have not been announced.
The film releases worldwide in cinemas on 5 November 2026 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English. Producer Namit Malhotra said it is best seen on the biggest screen, but cinemas cannot reach everyone.
Receive the story with reverence
Bhagavan Shiv teaches Mata Parvati how to listen:
रामकथा सुंदर कर तारी। संसय बिहग उड़ावनिहारी॥ रामकथा कलि बिटप कुठारी। सादर सुनु गिरिराजकुमारी॥
Ramcharitmanas, Bal Kand, Chaupai 1.114.1
The story of Shri Ram drives away the birds of doubt like a lovely clap of the hands. It is an axe to the tree of Kali. The word सादर means “with reverence”. However we meet the story, in a cinema or at home, it asks to be received with respect.
Open Bal Kand, or keep reading on the phone with the free Ramayan app. Read one doha of the Ramcharitmanas with full attention.
