# Dheeraj Dharam Mitra Aru Nari

> धीरज धर्म मित्र अरु नारी। आपद काल परिखिअहिं चारी॥  
> बृद्ध रोगबस जड़ धनहीना। अंध बधिर क्रोधी अति दीना॥४॥

भावार्थ: धैर्य, धर्म, मित्र और स्त्री—इन चारोंकी विपत्तिके समय ही परीक्षा होती है। वृद्ध, रोगी, मूर्ख, निर्धन, अन्धा, बहरा, क्रोधी और अत्यन्त ही दीन— ॥४॥

Meaning: “Fortitude, piety, a friend and a wife—these four are put to the test only in times of adversity. Old, sick, dull-headed, indigent, blind, deaf, wrathful or most wretched, (4)
